Most people come to Oslo using airplane and that is why many wonder how to get from the airport to the center of Oslo. A Taxi is always an option, but it should be mentioned that taxi in Norway is extremely expensive, so unless you have an everlasting source of money, you might consider other ways to get from the airport to Oslo.

There are three airports which mainly serve Oslo with tourists. The main airport is called Oslo Airport Gardermoen and is only 40-50km away from Oslo. The next airport is Oslo Airport Rygge approximately 70km from Oslo and the third is Oslo Airport Torp more than 100km from Oslo.

How to get from Gardermoen to Oslo?

There are several ways. The easiest way is the express train leaving several times every hour from Gardermoen. More information about this at www.flytoget.no. You can also use a normal passenger train, but the price difference is not to big anymore, so it is easier with the express train. Information about normal train schedule can be found at www.nsb.no. The travel time of such a train is normally between 25-30 minutes.

How to get from Rygge Airport to Oslo?
The easiest way to get to Oslo from Rygge Airport is using Rygge Ekspressen, a bus taking you directly from the airport to Oslo. You can read more about Rygge Ekspressen at their homepage. If you prefer train you can travel with the free bus from the airport which will take you to Rygge Train station, and from there you can travel with the train. How to get from Torp Airport to Oslo?

If you arrive at Torp using a bus is again the best option. The biggest company is called Torp Ekspressen. They bring you to/from the airport and their homepage can be found here. Lavprisekspressen is another option, if you book long time beforehand it is also cheaper, but this bus only stops at Torp if a reservation is made. In case of delays, this is a little bit risky. The stop is called Torp and from the trainstation a shuttle bus will take you to Torp Airport (included in the trainticket).
